Your 2016 First Half Market Update

We are halfway through 2016 already, which is hard to believe. I wanted to give you a quick market update to let you know what’s been going on and what you can expect. We’ll compare the numbers we saw at the midway point of last year to the statistics we have halfway through this year.

In 2015, we sold 4,431 homes in Northwest Indiana through June. This year, that number sits at 4,924 homes. That’s an 11% increase!

Last year, the average sales price through the end of June was $160,953. Right now, the average price is $165,584. That is an increase of 2.9%.

The other statistic we like to look at is the average days on market. Last year at this time it was 95 days. Right now, it’s only 91 days.
